At Department of Systems Biology, industrial collaboration is primarily organized by the research groups and centers, besides that our Director of Innovation serves as coordinator for industrial contacts.
Mutual development
Department of Systems Biology collaborates with a large range of industrial partners involved in research and development. The Department already plays a central part in national and international networks of biotech- and food industries.
Industrial collaboration projects range from student projects over industrial PhD projects, traditional PhD projects, co-financed research collaboration projects to large national and international projects. Besides this, Department of Systems Biology offers consultancy services, access to our technology platforms and specialized courses within all our key competences.
Department of Systems Biology carries out research projects in areas defined in collaboration with industrial partners. These projects are typically supported by research grants, governmental programmes or other strategic funds.
Technology transfer
Four minor research-based companies are located at the Department. This placement gives a beneficial flow of knowledge essential for the success of these companies.
Collaboration partners at DTU
Department of Systems Biology has close collaboration with Scion DTU on supporting the further development of the Department's start-up companies. The Department also enjoys good collaboration with the Office for Research and Innovation in the DTU central administration in order to commercialize ideas and inventions and give optimal support to companies.
Consultancy and individually designed courses are offered in collaboration with IPU at DTU.
